Beyond The Dash is a program through DoorDash which allows their Dashers to pursue their dreams, be it to sing, design, or in Özgür’s case screen write. I was approached to tell Özgür’s story, a Turkish refugee who left his film career behind in Istanbul and relocated with his family to Twin Falls, Idaho. It was an absolute pleasure and honor to have worked with Özgür across multiple weeks and cities, and to showcase such a genuinely kind-hearted person.
