I went to Youngstown, Ohio to film Tristan for Opvee, a nasal spray used to reverse opioid overdoses. Meeting Tristan was deeply humbling, as was hearing his story of addiction and recovery firsthand. I don’t often get the chance to film in the real locations tied to these stories, so having him lead me (and the camera) through the places that defined the darkest period of his life was profoundly moving.
